Over a 12 month period, Blue.Point worked closely with a 1,400 bed hospital system to assess their usage of evacuated containers. Blue.Point’s action plan helped identify that the hospital system purchased high cost evacuated containers in comparison to top performing hospitals. Research showed the evacuated container was for sterile field use. Hospital clinicians verified containers were not being used on a sterile field and only needed a sterile fluid path.
